Born and raised in Seattle, Kathy attended University of Washington, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She continued her education at City University, earning a Masters in Teaching (K-8) and an endorsement in Psychology (K-12), at Heritage College earning a Special Education Endorsement (K-12), and at Gonzaga University earning her Principal Certification. Kathy has over 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher, Learning Specialist, and Vice Principal before becoming Principal of St. Catherine of Siena School, where she is now in her fifth year of leadership. She also serves the Archdiocese of Seattle as the Executive Principal for the North Seattle region and as a member of the Diversified Learners Executive Committee. In addition to her school leadership, Kathy is in her 12th year as an Associate Professor at City University of Seattle, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in special education and early childhood education. Her dedication to education is rooted in a commitment to supporting all learners and fostering an inclusive community.
