Dear Families,

Happy last week of school!  The year has flown by.  It’s been a good one and I am grateful to all of you for sharing your children with me.  Teaching them has been a pleasure.

A couple things this busy week:

1)   On WEDNESDAY, please have your child bring a cloth shopping bag.  We will be cleaning out desks and that seems like an easy, sturdy way to haul things home.  Students will be bringing their consumable spelling book home.  It is a time consuming program and we did not complete everything.  It is a great resource to continue practicing with and I encourage students to do so.

2)  We have been receiving Maryknoll magazine for free all year.  I am sending the last copy home today.  The children have enjoyed looking at them and reading about the Church’s work around the world.  Hopefully you have enjoyed them too.  I’d like to send them a little donation from the class with the evaluation I send to them at the end of the year.  Donations help Maryknoll sisters, brothers, priests and lay people minister to those in need around the world.  If your family would like to help with this, there will be a collection basket in the classroom this week through this Thursday.
