St. Catherine of Siena School
From Our Principal
Greetings St. Catherine Families,
I hope everyone is enjoying the sunny, warm weather we are experiencing - finally! There are lots of field trips this week, including our 8 th graders who flew out to Washington D.C. this morning. We wish them a great trip and pray for safe travels for everyone!
In other school news this week...
A Huge THANK YOU to Parent Club and Kari Berge, Christy Srithongsuk, and Alexis Wood for coordinating the donut truck visit yesterday. Students who raised $150 or more during the Jog-a-thon enjoyed this treat during recess. Thanks for your help ladies!
CONGRATULATIONS to our students who celebrated their First Eucharist this last weekend: Serina B., Christian C., Kai D., Eugenia F., Ella H., Nate H., Amelia K., Giovanna N., Sonya P., Cameron R., Charlotte S., Conor S., Anthony V., Dominic V., and Kayla W. We are super proud of you!
Annual T-Shirt Design Contest: Last week you received a flyer in the family envelope announcing the annual St. Catherine T-shirt design contest. Here are few more details to share. Designs must...
Staffing Information: Mrs. Hartley, our Art and 7 th /8 th ELA teacher, has announced that she will not be returning to St. Catherine next year to pursue other opportunities. In fact, just today, Mrs. Hartley's daughter gave birth to a baby boy! Congratulations to her growing family! Mrs. Hartley has been a valued member of our team and a beloved teacher to our students. We will truly miss her! Sometime before the end of year, please take a moment to thank Mrs. Hartley for her years of dedication and service to our students.
Fortunately, it looks like we will be able to fill the art position in house... Our new PE teacher, Jill Richard, has also taught art in the past. Since the PE position was not full time, we were able to add art to her schedule and bring her contract up to full time. We are still looking into options for the ELA portion of Mrs. Hartley's position and will keep you posted once we have more information.
Congratulations to this week's Tiger Paws winners: Henry S. (K), Gabe B. (3 rd ), and Dan P. (8 th ). Thank you for being Paws-itive role models for others!
Note: Tomorrow, Thursday, May 25 th is Spirit Day (since we have Mass on Friday and it's a full uniform day). Students are invited to wear their St. Catherine gear on top and regular uniform bottoms (not a free dress day). Thank you!
Have a great St. Catherine Day!

CYO Soccer Registration
Registration for StC 2017 fall soccer is now open! Yes, you've read this correctly - registration is open for soccer in the fall. CYO requires registration at the end of the preceding school year because team formation and roster development needs to take place over the summer. Soccer will begin immediately upon the kids return to school (in fact, the older grades may begin practicing before the school year commences.) Please have completed parental consent form and payment in the office before June 15th. *Please note -- StC is moving toward an online registration system. This will not be fully implemented until next year; however, we will have one grade register via this new system this year. So, incoming 2nd grade parents -- please do not fill out the paper form. More information with instructions on how to register online will be sent directly to you. Any questions and concerns can be addressed to the incoming Athletic Director, Clay White (email@example.com)
